David Berghorst

David is the newest member of the HTF team but is certainly not a newcomer to timber framing.  He joined HTF after graduating from the wood design program at Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute at the beginning of the summer of 2025.  David has been a part of a number of timber frame courses, community building projects through the Timber Framers’ Guild, and even has plans to build his very own timber frame home.

David is originally from Michigan and served his country in the United States Air Force, where he worked in nuclear security in Wyoming.   In his free time, David enjoys making beautiful furniture, recreational shooting, and hiking.
