Homestead Timber Frames was honored to help bring new life to one of Brentwood’s historic structures. The BrentVale Pavilion was built at Crockett Park as a semi-enclosed timber frame gathering space, using original wood from the former BrentVale cabin as siding to preserve the look, feel, and story of the nearly 200-year-old structure.
A meaningful project that blends historic preservation with a functional new community gathering space.

About The BrentVale Pavilion
The BrentVale Pavilion was created to preserve the memory and character of Brentwood’s historic BrentVale cabin, originally built around 1830 by William Temple Sneed from trees cut on his property off Old Smyrna Road.
After the original cabin was dismantled in 2022 due to structural concerns, the Brentwood Historic Commission developed a plan to honor its history in a new form. Homestead Timber Frames was hired to build the pavilion, while the cabin’s original 200-year-old timbers were repurposed as siding around three sides of the structure.
Now located between the original stone chimneys at Crockett Park, the pavilion gives visitors the feel of a historic log cabin while providing a sheltered space with water and electricity for community events, Historic Commission gatherings, and potential future event use.
