Born and raised on Whidbey Island in the state of Washington, Aaron McCabe joined the Homestead Timber Frame team in August of 2022 as our newest joiner. Aaron dove straight into construction work after graduating high school and has been working with his hands ever since. His construction experience is proving invaluable.
One job introduced him to woodworking, which turned from a job to a passion. He started dabbling in custom built furniture and learning everything he could about wooden joinery. Eventually Aaron stumbled upon timber framing. He began searching for a timber frame company that specialized in traditional timber framing, which led him to Homestead Timber Frames. “Traditional timber framing is building a home but like a piece of furniture. It takes 2 things I enjoy and combines them.”
In his free time, Aaron can be found spending time with his wife and 4 children on his new homestead, exploring the new surroundings with his family. He is currently working on remodeling his “new” old home with the help of his family and his own sawmill.
