Sam Sallee | Client Representative
Originally from Middle Tennessee, Sam spent summers in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, as a young boy, and maintains a passionate interest in backpacking into the wilderness. Inspired by his passion for the outdoors, Sam created a mountain sport specialty store in 1998, taught adjunct outdoor classes at Tennessee Tech for eight years, and maintains his commitment to civic duties in his hometown of Cookeville.
His father built a post-and-beam, passive solar cabin in late-70s creating inspiration and love for timber framing at an early age. Sam then designed and built his own passive solar, timber frame cabin in 2003 and continues to build adjacent structures such as a wheelchair accessible tree house. Sam is a self-proclaimed “wood hoarder” as he frequently salvages lumber from the family farm for his various projects. Natural materials are used in his building projects with attention to function and longevity in design – much like our timber framing philosophy here at Homestead Timber Frames!
Sam has a compassion for others that makes him a solid choice as a partner whether you are backpacking into the wilderness or building a timber frame dream project. Either way, rest assured that Sam will help you reach your goal while ensuring professional satisfaction along the journey – a perfect fit for our company.
Other interests include spending time traveling and enjoying outdoor sports with his wife Brinna and daughters, Julia and Aubyn. Backpacking, canoeing, and good music are essential elements in Sam’s world.
